VoluDerm Technology -
VoluDerm is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine Micro needles while applying Radiofrequency (RF). The results are clear to see, with long term dermal volumising, wrinkle reduction and skin resurfacing.
Ultrasound Technology -
Ultrasound waves are delivered below the surface of the skin. The vibrations increase the permeability of the stratum coreneum resulting in an increased penetration of active products where they can have maximum effect.

Why use 2 technologies
By combining VuluDerm micro-needle RF and Ultrasound in consecutive treatments, both the epidermis and the dermis layers of the skin are treated.
The dermal (dermis) layer is formed of connective tissues containing Fibroblasts cells which function to maintain skin structure by producing new Collagen and other structural proteins that form the extracellular matrix.
It is this matrix, and principally the Collagen and elastin with in it, that provides the firmness and elastic nature of the skin.
VoluDerm treats this deeper dermal layer, while Ultrasound affects the more superficial Epidermis and upper dermal layers, by opening small gaps between skin cells and leading to an increased penetration of active ingredients applied to the skin.

Ultrasound
"Sonophoresis" is an ultrasonic facial using 1mhz low frequency ultrasonic vibrations to stimulate micro-vibrations in the skin. These vibrations increase the permeability of the stratum corneum layer which otherwise presents an extremely effective barrier, and thus allows the active elements of applied skin products to reach their optimum target depth.
Ultrasound is an established procedure which:

VoluDerm micro-needling RF is essentially a two-stage process each with its own Radiofrequency pulse emission.

Second action - Dermal Volumetric effect:

Ultrasound Technology
Without Ultrasound, the stratum corneum layer of the skin provides a highly effective protective barrier to the deeper layers of the skin, which means that only a very small proportion skin care ingredients applied to the skin reach their optimum depth.
Application of low frequency (1 MHz) ultrasound during Sonophoresis, initiates micro-vibrations in the skin which temporarily reduces the density of the skin causing small spaces to open between the skin cells and allowing the products to penetrate through to the deeper layers of the dermis.
In addition, the ultrasound actively breaks down the product into smaller molecules, through micromechnical, thermal and cavitation processes, smoothing their transit through the skin even further.
The combines effect of these processes of Sonophoresis lead to:
- Increased oxygen and nutrient in the deeper tissues and therefore healthier looking skin
