Cavitation, also known as Ultrasonic Lipo-Cavitation, is a treatment that has been around for a number of years now, as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for the reduction of Fat.

Pre-requisite: Medical Professionals or Aesthetic Practitioners with level-3 beauty (or level 2 with foundation course)

In order to graduate, students will need to pass a final written examination to assess their knowledge and understanding, and to pass a practical observation performing the treatment in full, including client consultation and aftercare.

A Diploma will be issued after completing the 1 day short course

For Level 4 courses; after completing the practical session, students will be asked to complete four case studies and a 5,000-word assignment in order to complete the course.  The price includes all the course materials, examinations, practical sessions and the accredited course certificate

Teaching material is provided after booking the course. For both  the short & accredited course, Students will be expected to have read full teaching manuals prior to course commencement.

What will the course teach you?

Once we reach puberty the number of fat cells in our body remains constant. It is the size and shape of the fat cells that differ over time, according to the amount of fat the body stores. This is apparent where fat cells are at the highest density in places such as thighs, hips and stomach.

Cavitation uses ultrasound waves to break down the excess fat. We call it the 'non-surgical liposuction' because there is no need for aesthesia, no pain, no incision and no recovery time. The ultrasound waves are delivered through the surface of the skin via an ultrasound probe.

Cavitation can be dangerous if not used correctly due to the depth of penetration of the ultrasound beam but with the correct training and understanding safe practices can be used to ensure great results to remove excess fat without the need for surgery. Cavitation can also be used in the treatment of cellulite, skin tightening and stretch marks

Cavitation is a great treatment on its own but can also be combined with other treatments to increase its effectiveness such as Radio-frequency for skin tightening and Shock-wave Therapy for cellulite.
